About the
training
The beauty of one2one Karate is that the training
is based on your own goals and ambitions.Personal, individualised lessons allow
you to learn at your own pace. On your first lesson I will sit down with you to
discuss your goals and we will make a plan to get you to achieve those goals.
Beginners are very welcome, and one2one Karate is
a great place to start your training. Big clubs often are intimidating for
beginners and often assume you have a certain fitness level and can keep pace
with more experienced students. Many karate clubs will put you in group classes
that are too difficult for beginners. Individualised lessons allow you to start
at your own pace and give you a great foundation to work from.
Training takes place in my private, not
over-looked, back garden. I have built a matted area especially made for karate
training. Specialised equipment such as focus mitts, standing punch bags, etc.
are also available. Training outdoors in this bespoke training environment can
be inspiring and more enjoyable than the hard wood floors of a sweaty gym.
You can select the type of training you desire:
karate only, nunchuka only, bo/staff only, or any combination of the above. The
karate syllabus I teach is a standard Shotokan syllabus which means if you move
to another karate club your skills will transfer. If you already belong to a
karate club and just want to brush up on some techniques have some individual
kata lessons, or learn to use weapons along with your karate classes that is
also possible with the lessons.
